Transportation and logistics organizations require improved asset tracking capabilities to reduce cost, time lost and improve efficiency.

 

The idea for Element 4 developed from our extensive experience at GFI Systems Inc (that currently offers asset tracking solutions for transportation industries). GFI Systems will be Element 4’s first customer, providing immediate proof of concept.

Oil companies require extensive tracking and sensing for safety purposes, pipeline maintenance, and site monitoring.

 

The Gallium sensor networks can reduce travel to sites and transmit critical real-time data to prevent serious problems . Sensors can measure temperature, humidity, pH levels and pressure.

Agricultural companies currently spend significant amounts of time, labor and resources monitoring large plantations.

 

With the Gallium 1.0, one can monitor soil moisture, pH and nutrient levels, and soil air permeability. Third-party submodules like camera sensors (to measure chlorophyll  and ripeness levels) and livestock sensors (to monitor animal health for consistent milk production) can also be easily attached.

The supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) market consists of organizations that collect and analyze real-time data to control and improve processes.

 

These industries include electric power distribution, water and sewage management, buildings and facilities management, manufacturing, transportation and traffic, food and beverage, and other similar industries.

Remote patient monitoring is a high growth and competitive market. There is a need for adaptable, yet reliable, technology to improve remote patient monitoring.

 

In 2020, Element 4 responded to a call from the Government of Canada for remote patient monitoring solutions. A proposal was created to reduce intrusiveness while maintaining quality real-time data collection.
